Process Modelling
Advanced analytical and numerical techniques such as FEM, explicit/implicit formulation, invers analysis, optimization approaches are used to model the material and deformation mechanism that occur during manufacturing processes. Some commercial codes which mostly fitted to our needs are ABAQUS, LS-DYNA, ANSYS as well as MATLAB and FORTRAN. The key point here is all modeling should be validated with sufficient accurate experimental tests. AMFRC intensively examine and evaluate any novel proposal relating to microstructural and multiscale modeling.
